Natural Selection Tour is the premier snowboarding event that mixes freeriding and freestyle at three vastly different locations around North America, attracting a world class rider field. This invitational contest was founded by Travis Rice, Liam Griffin, and Circe Wallace, with the goal of showcasing the world’s greatest female and male riders on a mix of modified natural terrain and backcountry snowboarding. The riders have a chance to compete at all three locations in a bracketed format, vying for the crown jewel of snowboarding as the Natural Selection Tour Champion.

My responsibilities as Tour Photographer during the 2021, 2022, and 2023 events was to capture contest action, lifestyle, and environment, then process and submit the files to the NST media team daily for PR needs and social media coverage. Each location delivered its own unique set of logistics for capturing the fast pace of competition, while also giving the media team the opportunity to capture beautiful stills images and video.

I have the utmost respect for everyone involved making this tour happen and have been honored to be a part of the Natural Selection Team. We strive to produce the best content possible, have a good time doing so, while bringing the viewer epic action that’s inspiring and fun to watch.
